Social Media Marketing vs. Traditional Marketing

Social media marketing is more successful than traditional marketing.

Traditional marketing methods include print and television advertising, public relations campaigns, in-store promotions and direct mail. These methods focus on reaching as many people as possible with one message to increase awareness of your product or service and encourage consumers to buy it.

Social media marketing takes advantage of the fact that many people are already active on social media platforms like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Pinterest and adapts those platforms to be more effective at delivering marketing messages. Social media users share their opinions about brands they like or dislike; they post photos of products that they own or wish they owned; they provide feedback when they encounter problems with a product or service; they rate restaurants according to their experience at a restaurant and recommend other places where they’ve eaten dinner; and so on.
